Privacy
There are no accounts and no ads.
If you allow it, the site counts your visits with Google Analytics, which it loads from Google (googletagmanager.com). It tells Google which pages you open, which page you came from, and your device, browser and language, and Google's servers see your IP address. Its two cookies, _ga and _ga_S1ZQTR196V, let Google tell a returning browser from a new one, and last two years. Google's privacy policy covers this data: policies.google.com/privacy.
Until you allow it in the cookie notice, nothing is loaded from Google and no Google cookie is set. You can change your answer at any time: turning analytics off deletes its two cookies.
Your saved places, your theme and your cookie choice stay in your browser's local storage (localStorage). They never leave your device.
When you tap “Use my location”, your browser sends your coordinates to our server once, to find the nearest place. We don't store or log them.
Our server keeps no log of visits and never records your IP address. If a page fails to load, we note its web address so we can fix the error, but nothing about you.
The map page loads its map from OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org), whose servers see your IP address, as any website's do. Apart from Google Analytics, if you allow it, and the map, no page loads anything from another site.
Your browser also keeps the last three forecasts you opened and the site's files, so they open without the internet. They stay on your device.
Besides Google Analytics' two, if you allow them, the only cookie is NEXT_LOCALE. It remembers the language you picked when it differs from your browser's language, and it is deleted when you close the browser.
